PAN description Legend has it that the nymph Driope fled terrified by the deformed appearance of the son, while the god Hermes picked it up and wrapped it lovingly in a hare skin, brought it on Olympus to entertain the gods, thus causing the laughter of Dionysus. It is principally referred to as God the Lord of the fields and woods in the sundial hour, protecting the flocks and herds, the mountain peaks are sacred to it.
